We were disappointed with our first and probably last visit to Thunder Lake.

The store was nothing convenient. I knocked over our milk and they don't even carry that.

Sites are decent enough although they gave away our site so we had to go to another one. 30 amp didn't work for our RV so it kept tripping the breaker. We had to use 15 amp and could only use one thing at a time.

Needs improvement for larger units. Tight roads and access to camping sights. Overgrown pathways and trails make trails questionable to walk through. Facilities are in desperate need of a renovation. The shower house is beat up from years of abuse, neglect and serving.

Waste of my time and money. I won't be returning to camp here.

All this being said some sights are private, semi with tandem sights available. SOME are reasonably level. Power only no water or full hook ups here.

They did give us a free night because of the inconvenience of our site being gone.

It's a nice place. Campsites are nice and are most secluded in the c loop. Seems a bit weirdly ran and the convenience store is a joke. Non convenience store I called it. Staff are friendly. Great for walks with lots of trails. Lake looks really nice but has blue green algae and also lots of leaches. One managed to attach itself to my dogs leg. He didn't care but it grossed me out.

The beach site was over run with feces and rocky. At first, we thought it was dog poop, but we watched about 40 geese come to the beach and the leave GIANT smelly piles everywhere.

And some other campers should learn that "if you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say it at all"

I haven't even finished my stay yet, and already I'm very disappointed. I paid over $100 to stay here for the weekend, and we have such a small spot we could barely fit our tent trailer. You have no privacy what so ever. You can hear everyone around you. It's way too crammed for a provincial park.

Compared to other campsite is was okay. Nothing bad but nothing amazing either. We did not let our kids swim in the water because we were told that it has bad leaches but we did see others swimming. Our boys had lots of fun with all of the squirrels around the campsite. There are tons.

The water is murky and FILLED with minnows. My daughter enjoyed the minnows tickling her legs but the leeches are very bad. Between my family of 5,we pulled off 25!
